In light of last night’s election, and the inevitable post-election commentary, discussion, relief, and despair, I think I should point out we tend to have overblown perceptions of the importance of these events.  My go-to passage for discussing this is Psalm 2; fortunately, Nathan Quinn delivered a lesson for us on this topic just a few weeks ago.  Rather than rehash what he said, I’ll simply leave you with a link to that sermon.  Please give it a listen.  If not, at least read Psalm 2 and think about what it means for us today.
